A general body meeting of the Karachi Chapter of the Chefs’ Association of Pakistan (CAP) was successfully held on 10th December 2025 at Mövenpick Hotel, bringing together leading culinary professionals from across the city. The session commenced at 3:00 PM with a strong turnout of CAP members and leadership, marking a significant milestone for the Karachi culinary community.

The event featured virtual participation from CAP President Ahmed Shafiq, CAP Secretary General Mian Shahid Mehmood, and Chef Raees (USA) via Zoom. Chef Aisha Mushtaq opened the meeting and invited Chef Amir Iqbal to deliver the welcome remarks, while GM Khurram Awan acknowledged and appreciated the contributions of Karachi’s culinary experts. CAP Vice President – HoReCa Fraaz Kasuri talked about Pakistan International Culinary Championship (PICC) 2026, Worldchefs Asia Presidents Forum, and upcoming CAP events.

Chef Muhammad Raees provided an in-depth briefing on PICC 2026, detailing the competition categories, registration process, and CAP membership benefits. The interactive Q&A session allowed members to clarify queries and gain insights into participating effectively. The meeting concluded with a group photo and high tea, leaving participants praising the event as an excellent and long-awaited gathering for Karachi’s culinary community.
