Chefs Association of Pakistan Strengthens Pakistan’s Global Culinary Presence at Worldchefs Congress & Expo 2026

The Chefs Association of Pakistan proudly represented Pakistan at the prestigious Worldchefs Congress & Expo 2026 held in Newport, Wales, from May 16–19, 2026, marking another important milestone for Pakistan’s growing international culinary recognition. Led by Founder & President Ahmad Shafiq, the Pakistani delegation actively participated in one of the world’s most influential gatherings of chefs, hospitality professionals, culinary educators, food innovators, and global industry leaders. The Congress, organized under the theme “Pasture, Passion, Plate,” was hosted in the United Kingdom for the first time in the organization’s 98-year history.

Representing Pakistan on the international platform, Ahmad Shafiq engaged in networking forums, professional exchange sessions, and industry discussions focused on culinary innovation, sustainability, hospitality education, and the future of gastronomy. His participation highlighted Pakistan’s rich culinary heritage, evolving hospitality industry, and the immense potential of the country’s tourism and food sectors.

Accompanying the delegation were Mian Shahid Mehmood and Usaid Ahmad, who also contributed to strengthening international connections with chefs, hospitality institutions, and culinary organizations from around the world.

Speaking during the Congress, Ahmad Shafiq stated that Pakistan’s participation reflects the country’s commitment to professional excellence, global collaboration, and culinary diplomacy. He emphasized the importance of creating international opportunities for young Pakistani chefs and hospitality students through global engagement and knowledge exchange.

The delegation also attended the Global Chefs Challenge Finals, where world-class chefs showcased creativity, innovation, and technical excellence. In addition, meetings with international delegates explored future collaborations in chef exchange programs, culinary education, hospitality training, and participation in upcoming global culinary events.

The Congress featured keynote sessions by internationally renowned culinary personalities, including Marco Pierre White, along with exhibitions presenting the latest trends and innovations in the food and beverage industry.

Pakistan’s active participation at the international event is being viewed as a positive step toward positioning the country as an emerging destination for culinary excellence, hospitality education, gastronomic tourism, and global food innovation.
