Chefs’ Association of Pakistan Announces National Executive Committee at Prestigious Ceremony

The Chefs’ Association of Pakistan (CAP) and its National Executive Committee (NEC) hosted a grand Membership Award Ceremony and Oath-Taking event today at Alhamra Hall No. 2. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem, setting a dignified tone for the proceedings.

Mr. Ahmad Shafiq, Founder/President and CEO of the College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM), addressed the gathering, highlighting the Association’s role as a strong platform for culinary professionals in Pakistan. Taking oath as the President of the Chefs’ Association of Pakistan, he expressed gratitude to the NEC for their confidence and pledged to promote the culinary profession nationally and internationally.

Speaking as a prominent figure in Pakistan’s hospitality and culinary education sector, Ahmad Shafiq remarked:
“The Chefs’ Association of Pakistan represents not just a community but a movement — a movement to empower our culinary professionals, inspire the next generation, and elevate Pakistan’s cuisine to the global stage. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all newly inducted NEC members and CAP student members as they begin this exciting journey.”

The highlight of the event was the Oath-Taking Ceremony, where both the newly elected National Executive Committee members and a large number of culinary students formally pledged their membership of CAP. The oath was administered by Mr. Waqqar Ilyas, Corporate Vice President of the Chefs’ Association of Pakistan, symbolizing unity and shared commitment across different tiers of the culinary community.

As part of the proceedings, certificates were distributed to all NEC members and the new CAP members in recognition of their commitment and contributions.
